CURRENT RESEARCH |
|
Current Canadian Military Heritage research includes a number of different projects: (i) an original nineteenth century research project based on a transcript of "A Diary of My Service," by Lieutenant Colonel Charles Barker Turner, who participated in the Peninsular Campaign, and finished his service with two Canadian appointments; and (ii) two World War II regimental history publications projects, on the 6th LAA Regiment and the 2nd Survey Regiment. |

Current Contemporary Canadian Security research focuses primarily on three broad areas: (i) critical developments in the international strategic security environment, with particular relevance to Canadian foreign policy objectives and their implications for Canadian security; (ii) alternative modalities for Canadian Force Structure Transformation; and (iii) the financial environment for Canadian defence. This has led to a number of research themes, including “Failed States,’ the “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine, and Force Structure Transformation for such interventions. |
